Golden Gate General Construction Inc., was originally brought in just to paint a 5,200 sq. ft. home in Beverly Hills. But that small beginning quickly evolved into a full-scale transformation — resulting in a custom-built 10,000 sq. ft. luxury estate.
The project unfolded in phases, guided by a growing vision and the trust of the homeowner. Each step brought new challenges and bold decisions — and we rose to meet every one of them.
At one point, the entire floor plan was redesigned — not once, but three times. A world-renowned designer reviewed the initial concept and advised it wouldn’t meet the home’s full potential. In a bold move, we tore down a significant portion of the second floor, preserved only the front façade wall, and rebuilt everything behind it with a completely new layout.
We also relocated the swimming pool to create a more harmonious connection between the home and the outdoor space — improving both the flow and the overall experience.
One of the most defining moments came after framing was completed. The owner decided he wanted 9-foot ceilings on the lower level. Jacking up the house wasn’t feasible, so we went down — excavating beneath the structure to deliver on the vision without compromising integrity.
This wasn’t just another job — it became personal. George, founder of Golden Gate, left his heart on this project. He framed the house with his own hands and helped shape every inch of its structure. The finishes? Absolutely breathtaking.
And through it all, one thing remained clear: we must love you, Shawn, to make this happen. Your trust, your vision, and your commitment pushed this project to become what it is — a true Beverly Hills masterpiece, built with passion, precision, and heart.
